Rice

More than third of the world’s population depend on Rice as the primary food source and is grown on 11% of the world’s cultivated area. In India Rice demand in 2010 is estimated at 100 million tons and in 2025 the demand is projected at 140 million tons. Adoption of sustainable technologies like System of Rice Intensification (SRI) geared towards increasing productivity utilizing fewer resources is imminent to meet the projected demand.

At SriAg Farms we adopt  System of Rice Intensification on large scale for cultivating paddy. We strongly support mechanization and utilize transplanters, harvesters and tractors for performing various operations and rely less on manual labor.
